Leb Acholi

The Leb Acholi , as an integral component of the cultural and social identity of the Acholi people, plays a crucial role in the preservation and expression of their heritage. It is part of the Luo languages, it connects the Acholi people linguistically and historically to a broader spectrum of cultures in Africa.

Wangoo

Dho Luo

Dholuo is the language spoken by Jo Luo- a Nilotic ethnic group living in the Nyanza region of Kenya and north Mara region of Tanzania.They form part of a larger group of ethno-linguistically related luo people of East Africa among them are Anywaa, Pari, Shilluk, Padhola, lang'o  Acholi, and of course Jonam of western Uganda and Eastern D.R Congo.

Dho Alur

Dho Alur, commonly referred to as the Alur language, is a Western Nilotic language spoken primarily in the West Nile region of Uganda and the northeastern Ituri Province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. As an Alur language, it holds a vital position in the cultural and everyday life of the Alur people. They are around 3 million people.

Leb Lango

Leb Lango is a language spoken by the Lango people, is an integral aspect of their cultural identity and heritage. The Lango people are a significant ethnic group in Northern Uganda, with an estimated population of around 4 million individuals. This population is dispersed across several districts in the region, each contributing to the rich tapestry of the Lango culture. They are found in the districts of Lira, Alebtong, Otuke, Amolatar, Dokolo, Apac, Kole, Oyam and Kwania

Leb Jonam

The term Leb Jonam refer to the Jonam people, a luo ethnic group located in the Northwestern part of Uganda, specifically in the regions along the banks of the Nile River. They are part of the larger Luo ethnic group, which is spread across several countries in East Africa, including Kenya, Tanzania, Sudan, and Uganda. The Jonam people have their own distinct culture, language, and social traditions within the broader Luo ethnic group context​​.

Leb Kumam

Leb Kumam refers to the Kumam language or culture. The Kumam are a Luo ethnic group in Uganda, living mainly in the regions of Teso and Lango. The term "Leb Kumam" is associated with literature, cultural references, or religious texts, such as the Bible, translated into the Kumam language. This highlights the importance of language and culture preservation by providing access to significant texts in native languages.

Dho p'Adhola

Dho p’Adhola (Dhopadhola), also refered to simply as Adhola, is a language spoken by more than 800,000 people most of whom originate from Tororo District in Eastern Uganda. This is nearly 2% of the population of Uganda. Majority of the speakers are Jopadhola (Jo-p'Adhola) who are part of the Luo ethnic group. You will meet Jopadhola in various parts of Uganda and even overseas.
